Maitres du Temps Chapter One Black & White Watch!!!
Dammit I love these masterpiece watches. I can’t afford one but fucking A if they aren’t the shiznitt!!
The Day o the week feature is SICK!!
The Maitres du Temps Chapter One watch is hailed as a masterpiece by some people in the watch community which makes sense given the team of literal watch making masters behind the design both visually and mechanically. The Black & White version is in 18k white gold with a dizzying array of complications most notable of which are the polar placed moon phase and say of the week cylinder displays and manually wound tourbillon movement. The presence of the watch is breathtaking, because it is so luxuriously bold, and not necessarily because you have to love the design. Maitres du Temps did such a nice job making it a truly unique, yet classic feeling timepiece.
Red Bull has coke in it…. I knew it!

A German scientific finding that Red Bull Cola contains trace amounts of cocaine has prompted a controversy over the drink, analysts say.
The Health Institute in the German state of North Rhine Westphalia is expected this week to publish the results of a study that found 0.13 micrograms of cocaine per can of Red Bull Cola.
You’d have to drink 12,000 L of Red Bull Cola for negative effects to be felt.

UPDATE: Thanks to my girl Karen Civil for reminding me where I knew that woman’s face! That is Mary J. Blige’s step-daughter Briana Latrise Issacs. She’s actually a talented photographer/artsy-type. Maybe she made a bit of a character mis-judgement with CH, but that’s a human-misstep that we all make at one time or another.
Some Interesting stats about Minorities
In a recent poll taken by New America Media, immigrant women in America responded to some pretty interesting questions. It turns out this particular minority segement has it about as rough as sandpaper on hard denim!!
Check out some interesting poll results:
* 82% of Latin American women found discrimination against immigrants to be a major problem for their family, compared to 17% for women from African or Arab countries, and only 13% for those from China. Still, 90% of the Latin American women said they want to become US citizens.
* 40% of immigrant women from Latin America and significant percentages from other regions do not have health insurance. A clear majority of women immigrants without health insurance are unaware of public health programs that could help their children receive medical assistance.
* A majority of immigrant women from China, Korea, the Philippines, India, Africa and Arab countries describe their last job in their home country as “professional.” The study reveals that a substantial percentage of them have not found comparable employment in the United States. Their current jobs in America include working as a hotel maid, restaurant waitress, factory technician, house cleaner and textile worker. These results, and others, indicate that women may well be putting devotion to the well-being of their families ahead of personal job status and pride in choosing to immigrate.
* When asked to name the biggest challenge they faced as women immigrants in the United States, the majority did not cite economic difficulties. Rather, “helping my children achieve success” and “being able to hold my family together” were the top answers–underscoring the importance of family in understanding the motivations and aspirations of this new wave of women immigrants.

The artist and producer, also known as one half of Gnarls Barkley, made his name with an album that mashed up Jay-Z’s Black Album and the Beatles White Album to create — what else? — the Grey Album. Although massively acclaimed, it was controversial on the copyright front. It’s not clear whether Dark Night of the Soul, an album-length piece of music joined by assorted guest vocalists, also has copyright issues: we’ve had a listen and if there are samples involved we couldn’t spot them.
The CD comes in a package labelled, “For legal reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will.” Mr Mouse says he is embroiled in “an ongoing dispute with EMI” and is “unable to release the recorded music without fear of being sued” by the record label. According to Danger Mouse himself, whatever you want. If that means finding Dark Night of the Soul online and burning your own copy, then go ahead.
